Interpretation

In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires“auditor” means a person who examines and reports on financial statements or accounts; “Board of Directors” means the Board of Directors of a Non- Governmental Organisation appointed pursuant to section 12; “By-law” means any By-laws made by a Non-Governmental Organisation for its own internal regulation; “financial year” means the period used by any Non- Governmental Organisation registered pursuant to this Act to estimate its annual revenue and expenditure; “Minister” means the Minister to whom the subject of civil society is assigned by the Governor-General pursuant to section 41 of the Belize Constitution; CAP. 4. “Non-Governmental Organisation” has the meaning assigned to it in section 3; 6 “sustainable human development” has the meaning assigned to it in section 7; Non- Governmental CAP. 250.
