Normal retirement age

(1) Every public officer shall retire from the public service on reaching the normal retirement age. (2) “Normal retirement age” as used in this Act, or “compulsory retirement age” as used in any other law, rule or regulation shall mean the age of fifty-five years, or such other 13 age as the Governor-General may, from time to time, by Order published in the Gazette, prescribe.
