Subject to the exceptions allowed in this regulation the occupier of a factory shall allow to every woman and young person employed in the factory, whole holidays in respect of Sundays, Good Friday, Christmas Day and any other closed day, unless the occupier throughout not less than three weeks before any one of those days posts in the factory a notice that he intends to substitute for that day some other day specified in the notice as a whole holiday, provided however that this regulation shall not apply to a factory in which, by reason of the processes carried out therein, 26 Factories work requires to be carried on continuously, or to women holding responsible positions of management who are not ordinarily engaged in manual work.
