Periodic verification of working and damaged standards

(1) Every Working Standard in the custody of the Director, a Weights and Measures Inspector or any other agency to which custody has been assigned, shall be verified at least once every two years by comparison against a Secondary Standard of that unit of measurement. (2) In the event of damage of a Working Standard, such standard shall not be used unless it has been compared with a Secondary Standard of that unit of measurement and found to be true and accurate, and authenticated by the Director in the prescribed manner. 13
