Renewal of bond

(1) If the sureties to the bond of any licensed measurer or either of them dies or cancels their obligations under the bond specified in section 4 (1) (c) of this Act, it shall not be lawful for the principal thereto, after knowledge thereof, to act as a licensed measurer until he has entered into a new bond. (2) Any licensed measurer who contravenes this section shall be liable to a fine of two hundred dollars for each offence.
