Examination of persons desiring to become licensed measurers

(1) The Chief Forest Officer, assisted by two assessors to be appointed by him, one of whom shall be a licensed measurer, shall be the examiner to examine as to the capability and knowledge of all persons desiring to act as licensed measurers. (2) If the Chief Forest Officer satisfies the Minister that he is unable to obtain the services of a licensed measurer to be an assessor under this section, the Minister may authorise the Chief Forest Officer, without the assistance of a licensed measurer as assessor, to examine a person desiring to become a (3) The Chief Forest Officer shall from time to time, with the approval of the Minister, make regulations under which the examination of applicants for licences under this Act shall be conducted and for determining the qualifications to be possessed by persons obtaining such licences.
