Penalty for concealing wort or beer or adding sugar thereto

Any brewer who conceals any wort or beer so as to prevent any officer from taking an account thereof, or mixes any sugar with any wort so as to increase the quantity or gravity thereof after an account of such wort or beer has been taken by an officer, shall, for every such offence, be liable to a fine not exceeding one thousand dollars and the wort or beer in respect of which the offence is committed, together with the vessels containing it, shall be forfeited. etc.
