Interpretation

(1) In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires“Act” means the Hotels and Tourist Accommodation Act; “Central Building Authority” means the Authority established under section 4 of the Belize Building Act; CAP. 131. “Municipal Authority” includes– (a) the Belize City Council constituted and established under section 3 of the Belize City Council Act; (b) the Belmopan City Council constituted and established under section 3 of the Belmopan City Council Act; and (c) Town Councils constituted and established under section 3 of the Town Councils Act; 7 “National Fire Service” means the National Fire Service established under section 3 of the National Fire Service Act. CAP. 137. (2) Any word or phrase not specifically defined in these Regulations but defined in the Act shall have the meaning assigned to it in the Act.
