Minimum standards to be observed by hotel and tourist accommodation

The proprietor of every hotel or tourist accommodation registered under the provisions of this Act shall– (a) ensure the observation of such minimum standards as may be prescribed from time to time by the Minister, including but not restricted to minimum standards relating to health, accommodation, service facilities and board; (b) ensure that the hotel or tourist accommodation equipment is kept in good order consistent with the highest standards of cleanliness; (c) maintain a high standard of service and shall for this purpose assist the Registrar in the promotion and execution of schemes for improving the skill and efficiency of hotel and tourist accommodation staff.
