Timeshare accommodation to be registered

(1) No premises shall be leased, sold or used for the purposes of a timeshare accommodation unless such premises 12 and the developer are registered under this Act and a licence is obtained by the developer from the Registrar in that behalf. (2) An application for registration in respect of any premises used for the purposes of timeshare accommodation on a day this Act comes into operation shall be made within thirty days of that date. (3) Where any premises are to be used as timeshare accommodation for the first time after the coming into operation of this Act, the developer shall, before he commences any development in respect of the timeshare accommodation, obtain the registration of himself and the business and shall ensure that the timeshare accommodation and all timeshare units therein satisfy all the prescribed and comply with all applicable requirements of the Belize Building Act, Cap.131, Housing Town Planning Act, Cap.182, the Environmental Protection Act, Cap. 328, the Public Health Act, Cap. 40, and all other applicable laws.
