Establishment of the EDC

(1) A body to be known as the Enterprise Development Center is hereby established as an autonomous institution governed by the provisions of this Act, which shall consist of a Board of Directors established under section 9 of this Act, an Executive Director and other members of staff as may be appointed under section 17 of this Act. (2) The EDC shall be the lead institution to represent all aspects of the development of micro, small and medium sized enterprises. (3) The EDC, upon request or when deemed necessary, may also represent enterprises other than MSMEs.
