Functions of the Committee

(1) The functions of the Committee shall include– (a) receiving, considering and determining applications for under these Regulations; (b) providing advisory information and other related services to licence holders; 23 (c) assisting licence holders in any matters affecting the discharge of their functions; (d) performing any other functions for the better carrying out of the objects and purposes of these Regulations including but not be limited to defining policy guidelines for the tour operators industry, setting and revising on a continuous basis the licensing criteria for tour and developing rules and regulations for the training of tour operators and other related activities. (2) In performing its functions under subregulation (1)(a) above, the Committee shall make recommendations to the Board, but the final determination of any application shall be made by the Board.
