Blotter

A blotter in the form of the Third Schedule hereto shall be kept at each branch. In it shall be recorded all transactions as they occur. The vouchers representing the transactions will each be numbered in consecutive order with permanent serial numbers from the blotter. There shall be two series of numbers in the blotter: one series for deposits and a separate series for withdrawals. Both series of numbers will commence with the number one on the 1st day of January in each year. The entries in the blotter, deposits and withdrawals, shall be ruled off and totalled in red ink at the close of business each day and the responsible officer will initial against the totals as correct.
