Liability for repayment ceasing

(1) When no addition to or withdrawal from a deposit is made during the period of twenty years or, if the amount of the deposit is less than one dollar, during the period of six years, the funds of the Savings Bank and of Belize shall cease to be liable for the repayment of the deposit which may be transferred to the account of the general revenue of Belize and be disposed of accordingly. (2) But in such a case the Minister may, if he thinks fit, at any time thereafter order the amount of the deposit to be paid out of the general revenue of Belize to any person who proves his right thereto to the satisfaction of the Minister. &c.
