Charitable or provident society

Where a first deposit is made by the trustees or treasurer of a charitable or provident institution, society, or club, or charitable bequest for schools, the following provisions shall apply– (a) Before making such deposit the trustees or treasurer of such charitable institution, society or club, or charitable bequest for schools shall forward to the Minister an application by the trustees or treasurer of the society or institution for authority to make deposits specifying by what officers or members of the society it is proposed the moneys deposited should be withdrawn from time to time and bearing and containing all such signatures and other information as the Minister may require. The Minister may from time to time prescribe the form of such application. (b) The trustees or treasurer of a charitable institution, &c., may, by direction in writing signed by them or him from time to time amend their or his application so far as relates to the specification of the officers or members of the charitable institution, society or club, or charitable bequest for schools by whom moneys deposited may be withdrawn and may strike out the names of any officers or members previously specified and specify other officers or members in lieu thereof or in addition thereto. The Minister may from time to time prescribe the form of such direction. (c) The persons named in such direction for the purpose of withdrawing deposits shall sign their names on the form of direction. Savings Bank 13
