Basic Solvency Standards

(1) Banks which fully meet the prescribed ratios under regulation 4 shall be classified as “adequately capitalised”. (2) Any bank which fails to meet the prescribed ratios under regulation 4 shall be considered as “under-capitalised” and shall be subject to supervisory or other regulatory action as determined by the Central Bank in accordance with section 36 of the Act or any other authority provided thereunder.
