Moneylenders Register

(1) There is established a Moneylenders Register which will be kept by the Registrar. 17 (2) The Register shall contain the following information in respect of each moneylender licensed under this Act– (a) in the case of a moneylender that is a legal person, the name, country and date of formation, and registered office of the (b) in the case of a moneylender that is a natural person, the name and address of the (c) the principal business address of the moneylender in Belize and the moneylender’s telephone number and e-mail address, if any; (d) the class of licence held by the moneylender and any conditions imposed on the licence; (e) the date the licence was granted and, if applicable, revoked; and (f) such other information as the Registrar considers appropriate. (3) The Register and the information contained in any document filed with the Registrar, may be kept in such manner as the Registrar considers appropriate, including either wholly or partly, by means of a device or facility that– (a) records or stores information magnetically, electronically or by other means; and (b) permits the information recorded or stored to be inspected and reproduced in legible and usable form. 18 Licensing of Moneylenders
