Interpretation

In these Rules, unless the context otherwise requires“agent” means an attorney-at-law who is resident in Belize and practising in Belize in accordance with the relevant law, and is appointed in accordance with rule 15(2); “applicant” in relation to an application submitted to the Registrar, means the person who submits the application or on whose behalf it is submitted; “Office” means the Office of Intellectual Property; “opponent” means a person who opposes an application for registration or who opposes some other application made under the Act; “Registrar” means the Registrar of Intellectual Property appointed under section 4 of the Patents Act. 10 Trade Marks Fees Schedule I.
