Registration and publication of layout-design

Where an application complies with the requirements of section 8 of this Act, the Registrar shall, (a) register the layout-design in the Register without examining the originality of the layout-design, the applicant’s entitlement to 14 protection, or the correctness of the facts stated in the application; and (b) publish the registration of the layout-design in the Journal.
