Interpretation

In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires“Court” means the Supreme Court of Judicature established under the Supreme Court of Judicature Act; “Journal” means the Journal of Intellectual Property referred to in section 5 (d) of the Patents Act; “Office” means the Office of Companies, Corporate Affairs and Intellectual Property established under section 3 of the Patents Act; “Register” means the Register of Plant Breeder’s Rights referred to in section 3 (2) of the Act; “Registrar” means the Registrar of Companies, Corporate Affairs and Intellectual Property; “relevant variety” means the variety which is the subject of the application (in relation to an application for a grant of plant variety rights under the Act).
