Cap. 252, s. 66 · Revised Edition 2020

(1) In sections 67 to 70 of this Act references to the librarian or archivist include references to a person acting on his behalf. (2) Regulations may provide that a librarian or archivist who is required to be satisfied as to a matter before making or supplying a copy of a work, (a) is entitled to rely on a declaration as to that matter, signed by the person requesting the copy, unless he is aware that the declaration is false in any material particular; and 80 (b) in such cases as may be prescribed, shall not make or supply a copy to any person in the absence of a declaration by that person. (3) Where a person requesting a copy makes a declaration that is false in a material particular and is supplied with a copy which would have been an infringing copy if made by him, that person shall be liable for infringement of copyright as if he had made the copy himself, and the copy supplied shall be treated as an infringing copy.
