Appointment, etc., of trustee for beneficiary

(1) A policyholder may, in writing, by contract or by declaration appoint a trustee for a beneficiary and may alter or revoke the appointment by declaration in writing. 139 (2) A payment by an insurance company to a trustee for a named beneficiary discharges the insurer from payments to the beneficiary to the extent of the payment.
