Accepting deposits without Fund membership

A domestic bank or credit union that accepts a deposit without being a Fund member or when membership in the Fund is suspended or terminated commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine of one hundred thousand dollars or to a term of imprisonment of four years, or to both such fine and term of imprisonment.
