Memorandum of satisfaction

(1) Subject to and in accordance with rules to be made under and for the purposes of this Act, the Registrar General may order a memorandum of satisfaction to be written upon any registered copy of a bill of sale, upon the prescribed evidence being given that the debt, if any, for which that bill of sale was made or given has been satisfied or discharged. (2) The Registrar-General shall cause the registration of every memorandum of satisfaction issued pursuant to sub- section (1) in relation to a vehicle or trailer, at the Department of Transport or municipal authority, as the case may be, of the district in which the vehicle or trailer is registered.
