Application of penalties

All fines imposed by this Part shall, when recovered upon conviction, be applied and disposed of in the following manner, that is to say, any portion thereof not exceeding one- half to or among the person or persons, other than the Director of Public Prosecutions, by whom it is made to appear to the Governor-General that any offence, on conviction for which a fine is made hereby recoverable, has been brought to the notice of the Government, and the remainder paid into the Consolidated Revenue Fund. 20
