Age of applicant and period of licence

(1) An applicant for the grant of a licence must be not less than seventeen years of age. Civil Aviation 113 (2) The period for which a licence may (subject as provided by paragraph (d) in regulation 72 of these Regulations) remain in force, following either the grant or any renewal thereof, shall not exceed– (a) twenty-four months if the applicant is less than forty years of age; or (b) twelve months if the applicant is forty years of age or more.
