Prohibition on proceeding to sea without an appropriate certificate

(1) No Belize ship required to be verified under this Part shall proceed, or attempt to proceed to sea, unless there is in force a valid Certificate or an Interim Certificate. (2) Where a ship proceeds, or attempts to proceed to sea in contravention of subregulation (1) above, the company and the master of the ship shall be guilty of an offence.
