Issue and endorsement of certificates by another Government

(1) may request Contracting Government to verify the ship and, if satisfied that the provisions of section 19.1.1 of the ISPS Code are complied with, to issue or authorise the issue of a Certificate to the ship and, where appropriate, endorse or authorise the endorsement of that Certificate on the ship, in accordance with the ISPS Code. (2) A Certificate so issued shall contain a statement to the effect that it has been issued at the request of IMMARBE and it shall have the same effect as if issued by IMMARBE.
