Registration Of Merchant Ships (Cargo Vessels Operating In The Caribbean Trading Area) (Safety) Regulations, reg. 83 · Revised Edition 2020

(1) The requirements of regulations 56 to 63 of chapter II-2 of the 1974 SOLAS Convention shall apply to new tankers and barges of any tonnage carrying crude oil or petroleum products of low flashpoint in bulk as appropriate. (2) Existing tankers shall, as far as practicable and reasonable in the opinion of the Administration, comply with the requirements of subregulation (1).
