Standards

(1) The construction, installation, structural strength, fittings, material, appliances and apparatus, unless expressly provided in these Regulations, shall be of a standard acceptable to the Administration. (2) In addition to the codes and standards referred to in these Regulations, the other codes and standards recommended by the International Maritime Organization and accepted by the Administration may be applied whenever such codes and standards are considered to be appropriate.
