Registration Of Merchant Ships (Cargo Vessels Operating In The Caribbean Trading Area) (Safety) Regulations, reg. 58 · Revised Edition 2020
(1) Ships having periodically unattended machinery spaces shall, as far as practicable and reasonable in the opinion of the Administration, comply with the applicable requirements of chapter II-I, Part E of the 1974 SOLAS Convention for such
(2) In lieu of meeting the requirements of subregulation (1),
ships of less than 24m in length having periodically unattended machinery spaces may comply with the applicable requirements of regulation 57(2), (3), and (4) and other requirements which,
in the opinion of the Administration, are necessary for safe operation of such machinery spaces.
