Registration Of Merchant Ships (Cargo Vessels Operating In The Caribbean Trading Area) (Safety) Regulations, reg. 45 · Revised Edition 2020
(1) Machinery spaces of category A shall be adequately ventilated so as to ensure that when machinery or boiler therein are operating at full power in all weather conditions including heavy weather, an adequate supply of air is maintained to the spaces for the safety and comfort of personnel and the operation of the machinery or boiler.
(2) In addition to complying with the requirements of subregulation (1), the ventilation of machinery spaces shall be sufficient under all normal conditions to prevent accumulation of oil vapour.
