Chain locker

Registration Of Merchant Ships (Cargo Vessels Operating In The Caribbean Trading Area) (Safety) Regulations, reg. 22 · Revised Edition 2020

(1) In every ship propelled by mechanical means where the chain locker is located above the collision bulkhead or extends into the forepeak tank, it shall be watertight and provided with efficient means of drainage. (2) A chain locker shall not be used for any purpose other than stowage of anchor chain cables.
