Type of registration

(1) Every vessel accepted for registration in IMMARBE shall first be granted a provisional registration by way of a certificate of registry for navigation purposes which shall be valid for six months. Such document may also be referred to as a Provisional Patent of Navigation. 15 (2) Every vessel accepted for registration in IMMARBE shall first be granted a provisional radio license which shall be valid for six months. (3) Prior to the expiration of the provisional registration, an applicant may obtain a permanent registration upon compliance with the conditions set out in the Act. (4) The applicant may, in lieu of permanent registration, apply for quarterly extensions of the provisional certificates of registry and/or the provisional radio license, upon payment of the appropriate fee as set out in the First Schedule to the Act.
