Belizean ships

(1) A ship which is not registered under the Act shall not be recognized for the purposes of the Act or any regulations made thereunder as a Belizean ship or as being entitled to the rights and privileges accorded to Belizean ships. (2) Notwithstanding subsection (1) of this section, the Minister may in special circumstances by Order grant the status of Belizean ship to other vessels not registered under the Act.
