Unlawful use of Belize Flag

(1) If any person uses or permits any person to use any flag of Belize on board a foreign ship wherever located for the purpose of making that ship appear to be a Belizean ship he shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on summary conviction to the penalties prescribed in Section 102 of the Act. (2) In any proceedings under this section, the burden of proving the right to use the flag and assume the character of a Belizean ship shall be upon the person using and assuming the same.
