Transitional

(1) A person who, prior to the commencement of these Regulations, has been engaging in the business of a water taxi service shall, be deemed to be in possession of a valid permit and may continue the service for a period of not more than 180 days after commencement of these Regulations. (2) Notwithstanding subregulation (1), a person who, prior to the commencement of these Regulations, has been engaging in the business of a water taxi service shall comply with regulations 16(2)(f), (h), (i), (j), (l), (m) and (n) and 7(1)(e) from the date of commencement of these Regulations. (3) Notwithstanding subregulation (1), a person who, prior to the commencement of these Regulations, was engaging in the business of a water taxi service shall come into compliance with– (a) regulation 32(1)(a) on or before the 1st day of July, 2019; or (b) regulation 32(1)(k) and (3) on or before the 31st day of December, 2019.
