Safety requirements and offence of wilful refusal

(l) A person who– (a) behaves in a manner that is determined by a master or authorised officer as endangering or likely to endanger the safety of the water taxi or a person on board the water taxi; or (b) willfully refuses to comply with the instruction of the master or authorised officer, commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction, to a fine not exceeding one thousand dollars. (2) A person whose behaviour is as described in subregulation (1), may be removed from the water taxi at the nearest place of safe refuge. 119
