Operation of a vessel with Certificate of Competency for Masters’ Apprentice

(1) A person granted a Certificate of Competency for Masters’ Apprentice shall not operate a vessel unless that person is accompanied for the purpose of instruction, by a person who holds a valid certificate of competency for masters, other than a (2) A person granted a Certificate of Competency for Masters’ Apprentice and the person accompanying for the purpose of instruction, in accordance with subregulation (1), shall be jointly and severally liable for any offence against the Act committed during the course of instruction.
