Appointment and functions of the Pilotage Committee

(1) The Authority shall appoint a Pilotage Committee for the purpose of, (a) holding examinations and issuing on behalf of the Authority licences to act as an Authority pilot; (b) holding inquiries concerning the conduct of Authority pilots in the discharge of their (c) making such arrangements as may be necessary for the training of persons selected for or in the pilotage service of the Authority; (d) investigating and advising on such matters as may be referred to the Committee by the Authority; and 39 (e) carrying out such other functions as are conferred on the Pilotage Committee by this Act.
