Signals to proceed straight ahead

The driver of a motor vehicle approaching any place at which a police officer is controlling traffic shall signify his desire to proceed straight ahead (that is to say, without altering direction) by raising his hand towards his shoulder and moving his forearm well forwards and then back in a vertical plane so as to be easily seen by such police officer.
