Signals to be used by driver when slowing down or stopping

The driver of a motor vehicle shall– (a) before slowing down extend his arm outside the vehicle with the palm of the hand turned downwards and move the arm slowly up and down from the shoulder; and (b) before stopping extend his arm outside the vehicle with the palm of the hand turned to the front and the elbow bent and hold the arm rigid in a vertical position. 156
