Conduct of driver and conductor

A driver or a conductor, when acting as such– (a) shall behave in a civil and orderly manner; (b) shall not smoke in or on an omnibus when it has passengers on board; Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic [CAP. 230 145 (c) shall take all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of passengers in or on or entering or alighting from the omnibus; (d) shall not wilfully deceive or refuse to inform any passenger or intending passenger as to the destination or route of the omnibus or as to the fare for any journey; (e) shall, if requested by any police constable or other person having reasonable cause, give particulars of his licence, his name and the name and address of the person by whom he is employed; (f) shall not obstruct or neglect to give all reasonable information and assistance to any person having authority to examine the (g) shall at all times wear such uniform as shall be provided for that purpose by the owner or operator.
