General design

Every omnibus shall comply in all respects with the requirements as to the construction, weight, and equipment of motor vehicles contained in these Regulations or in any regulations that may hereafter be made in place of these Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic [CAP. 230 115 Regulations, which are applicable to the omnibus, and the omnibus, including all bodywork, upholstery and fittings shall be soundly and properly constructed of suitable materials well finished and in good and serviceable condition, and of such design that it is capable of withstanding the loads and stresses likely to be met with in operation.
