Tinting test

(1) An authorised officer may inspect and test a tint on a windshield, window or rear glass of a motor vehicle using a photometer. (2) An authorised officer who discovers that a tint on a windshield or a window of a motor vehicle is not in accordance with the specifications described in the Schedule shall issue a written notice to the owner of the motor vehicle or the driver of the motor vehicle to remove the tint within 10 days of the issue of the written notice. (3) A person who fails to comply with subregulation (2) commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine of $500.00.
