Interpretation

(1) In these Regulations“authorised officer” means a transport officer, motor vehicle inspector, traffic warden, or police officer appointed under section 3 of the Act; “tint” means a treatment to achieve a variety of tinting effects and includes a plastic film that is fitted to a windshield, window or rear glass of a motor vehicle; “VLT %” means the measurement of the percentage of Visible Light Transmission that passes through a tint on a windshield, window or rear glass of a motor vehicle. (2) A reference in this regulation to “use” of a motor vehicle is construed as including driving or parking a motor vehicle on a public road.
