In these RegulationsInterpretation. “border points” means Santa Elena in the Corozal District, Benque Viejo in the Cayo Disrict, and any other place designated as such by the Minister responsible for Transport by order published in the Gazette; “foreign cargo” means cargo originating outside Belize for importation into Belize, for commercial purposes; “foreign vehicle” or “foreign cargo vehicle or trailer” means a vehicle or trailer not registered in Belize, which is made or adopted for the carriage or haulage of goods, merchandise or other materials; “Minister” means the Minister responsible for Transport; “respective Town Council” means, in respect of Santa Elena border point, the Corozal Town Council; in respect of Benque Viejo border point, the Benque Viejo Town Council; and in respect to any other border point, the nearest Town Council.
