Uses of dealers’ general licences

(1) Subject to section 21, a motor vehicle or trailer may be used under a dealers’ general licence for any purpose connected with the business, as a dealer in or manufacturer or repairer of motor vehicles or trailers, of the holder of such licence, and so long as such vehicle is bona fide being used for such purpose, the holder of the licence shall not by reason only that he is making some other or further use of the vehicle be deemed to commit an offence.
