Dealers’ general licence

(1) A transport officer may issue to a dealer in, manufacturer or repairer of motor vehicles or trailers, who make application in the prescribed form, a dealers’ general licence, which subject to sections 22 to 27, and to any other conditions which may from time to time be prescribed, shall authorise the use of any number of motor vehicles or trailers in the possession of the holder of such licence in the course of his business as such dealer, manufacturer or repairer. Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic [CAP. 230 31 (2) A dealers’ general licence issued under this section shall not authorise the use of a vehicle for the carriage of persons or goods for fee or reward.
