Duplicate licences

(1) If a motor vehicle or trailer licence is lost, defaced, mutilated, or rendered illegible, the transport officer may issue a duplicate licence on payment of the prescribed fee. (2) If any licence as mentioned in sub-section (1), is subsequently found, the holder of the duplicate licence shall forthwith deliver up to the transport officer the duplicate licence and any person knowingly retaining or having in his possession both an original and a duplicate licence commits an offence.
